Cadell Training Centre Wins Olive Oil Awards
Cadell Training Centre Wins Olive Oil Awards
Cadell Training Centre has been recognised at the 2025 SA Olive Awards, taking home four awards for its extra virgin olive oil.
The awards included one Silver and three Bronze, recognising the quality, flavour and craftsmanship of the oil produced by the men in custody and the site’s Correctional Industry Officers.
For more than 20 years, Cadell Training Centre has cultivated olives and produced oil, which is sold to Department for Correctional Services sites and staff. Proceeds are reinvested into the prison, supporting machinery and equipment upgrades.
Through learning transferable skills and contributing to award-winning products, participants gain confidence and motivation for a positive future beyond incarceration. These initiatives are central to rehabilitation efforts and support the Department’s commitment to reducing recidivism by 20% by 2026.
The SA Olive Awards are part of the Royal Adelaide Show, with the award ceremony held on Friday 29 August.
