All domestic visits to South Australian prisons remain suspended for a further two weeks.

The current suspension has been extended to enable us to continue to monitor the risk of COVID-19 in the South Australian community.

The department is continuously reviewing the decision and it is anticipated that a further update will be provided in two weeks on Monday 14 September 2020.

Video visits will continue to be available for domestic visitors to ensure prisoners can maintain face-to-face contact with their loved ones. Find out more about video visits.

DCS acknowledges the impact that the ongoing uncertainty around the COVID-19 situation has on our prisoners and their loved ones. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to work hard in keeping COVID-19 out of our prisons.
