Today we celebrate National Corrections Day, an opportunity to recognise the tireless work and efforts of our frontline staff and those who work behind the scenes.
Our staff contribute to community safety every day, reducing reoffending, the number of victims of crime, and breaking cycles of crime.
Corrections is a challenging and demanding industry, but it is also a rewarding profession that Correctional Services staff are very proud to work in.
Service recognition award ceremonies will take place at various facilities across the state today as corrections staff celebrate with breakfasts, morning teas and BBQ lunches.
This year, the Executive team and Minister for Correctional Services say “thank you” to our staff for their outstanding efforts throughout 2020 in delivering correctional services across our prisons and in the community.
