Prisoner Movement and In-Court Management Services
G4S is also responsible for the contract for the transportation of prisoners and management of prisoners in court. This contract is administered by DCS on behalf of participating agencies.
The contract provides for the movement of most prisoners between prisons, courts, police stations and health services. The contract G4S is not responsible for is the transfer of prisoners with a High1 Security classification (administered by DCS on behalf of participating agencies).

The department utilises Electronic Monitoring predominantly for the supervision of offenders on Home Detention and for those on Intensive Bail Supervision (or ‘Home Detention Bail’).
DCS leases electronic monitoring equipment via a contract with G4S. The equipment has GPS capability, and has capability to monitor offenders in the community.
