The Adelaide Pre-release Centre. Tries to replicate community living conditions. The centre can accommodate 70 male prisoners in cottage-style units of four or five beds each. each cottage has a communal kitchen, bathrooms, toilets and living area. Prisoners also have access to outside barbecues. They are supplied with rations on a weekly basis and are required to fend for themselves. Prisoners are granted leave to attend work and education or programs which is designed to ease them back into the community. |
