Court Ordered Home Detention

The court can also sentence an offender to Home Detention instead of imprisonment.

The offender must be assessed by the court suitable to serve the sentence on Home Detention. The safety of the community is of utmost importance.

The offender must live at a residence approved by the court. The nominated residence will be reviewed for suitability this will include location and who else lives at the property.

Offenders may be brought into prison if suspected of breaching a condition of their court ordered home detention and then be presented to the court the next business day to have their breach heard.
