The Hon. Corey Wingard MP

The Hon. Corey Wingard MP was appointed Minster for Correctional Services on 22 March 2018. He is also Minister for Police and Emergency Services, Recreation, Sport and Racing.

Minister Wingard was elected as the Member for Mitchell at the 2014 state election. At the recent election he stood for and won the seat of Gibson.

Minister Wingard was previously the Shadow Minister for Industry and Shadow Minister for Sport, Recreation, and Racing.

Prior to entering State Parliament, Minister Wingard was a journalist with Channel 9 in Sydney and Melbourne. He then moved back to the Adelaide newsroom of Channel 10, where he hosted a football show and a number of major sporting events.

Minister Wingard is actively involved in the community. He is a member of the local schools governing council, a sporting coach for a number of teams and volunteers with several charities.
